Members and friends of UUCOP (Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Petoskey) come from near and far, so it becomes especially important to find ways to stay connected.  Some are year-round residents who live in the Petoskey area, and some are here only part of the year, spending months away downstate, or in Ohio, Virginia, Florida, and Texas.  Those who live in the Petoskey area come from as far as Sault Ste. Marie, Presque Isle, St. Ignace, Mackinaw City, Charlevoix, Indian River, Harbor Springs, Horton Bay and Boyne City.  Staying connected despite the time away and physical distance is one of the congregation’s goals.

The Caring Committee, as its name suggests, sends notes and cards of remembrance to help celebrate birthdays or other significant occasions and to provide supportive thoughts in times of life’s challenges.  To help facilitate this committee in providing remembrances, please send the dates of birthdays or other significant dates to PetoskeyUnitarians@gmail.com for inclusion on the Caring Committee calendar.  In addition, please send information about those to whom an expression of caring from the congregation would be helpful or appreciated to that same email address.
