Book group 637x487

The UUCOP book discussion group meets quarterly.  See “Upcoming Events” on our homepage for upcoming book club meeting dates and chosen books. The group meets at a community location or a member’s home. Book club meetings are also available by Zoom.

Topics range in topic from world religions, spirituality, ethics, psychology and similar topics mainly in the nonfiction category. We rotate the responsibility of “chairing” the discussions and we all vote on which books to read each quarter. Our discussions can get quite lively, and we always have fun as we enhance our reading experience by hearing others’ viewpoints about the subject matter. Please consider joining us for an upcoming book discussion.

Periodically, there will be call for Book Club nominations for the next selection.

When nominating a volume, please include:

  • Book title
  • Name(s) of all author(s) or editor(s)
  • Publication date
  • # pages of text (not including end-notes, index, etc)
  • A brief summary of the book’s content.

November Book Club nominations are now open. Abundance: A Roadmap towards a Brighter Future for America is already on the list.

If you would like to join the UUCOP book club emailing list please send an email to PetoskeyUnitarians@gmail.com
