Justice Overview
As a small congregation coming from long distances to worship together on Sunday we have found various ways to enter the struggle for Justice for All in our lives.

Quarterly Giving Program: Each Sunday’s collection includes the opportunity to contribute to a specified charitable organization. The collections are matched with congregational funds up to a $200 match.
The organization changes each quarter and is researched and presented for board approval. Anyone can nominate an organization for funding consideration; just notify a board member. The goal is to have one international, one national, one Michigan, and one local organization during the year.
We have supported such local efforts as affordable housing, teen crisis books for libraries, and organizations that help children reach their full potential in spite of homelessness or trauma. Further afield, we have supported ministry for incarcerated folks, relief for the children of Gaza, encouragement to vote nationwide, and aid to students in India’s Khashi Hills.
MUUSJN and UUSC: We support the statewide work of the Michigan Unitarian Universalist Social Justice Network and the national and international efforts of the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee.
