Our Mission Statement
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Petoskey exists to offer an open, tolerant, religious community to nurture spiritual growth and to value diversity.
Our Vision
We are an established religious fellowship providing an atmosphere conducive to spiritual growth, finding and refining personal paths. We are a diverse group that promotes improved quality of life through social action, community outreach and environmental awareness.
Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism
The Petoskey congregation affirms the Unitarian Universalist Association statement of principles.
1. The inherent worth and dignity of every person
2. Justice, equity, and compassion in human relations
3. Acceptance of one another and encouragement of spiritual growth
4. free and responsible search for truth and meaning
5. The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process.
6. The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all
7. Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part
