I’ve booked for the basement classroom in the Petoskey Library at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 8 and Sunday, July 13. Our reading for 6/8 will be Stolen Pride: Loss, Shame, & the Rise of the Right by Arlie Russel Hochschild.  McLean & Aiken should have several copies of the book later this wk.

The work for 7/13 will be selected @ the 6/8 meeting. As of May 5 one book has been nominated!  Well, a couple of us intend to suggest for 2-3 titles each.  How about you?  Each nomination must include: the complete title name(s) of author(s) or editor(s) of a compilation of other authors; publication yr; # of pages excluding end notes, index, etc; & a fairly brief summary of the book’s content.

May 4th we all agreed to continue selecting works for > 1 future meeting if possible.  This we did at the March meeting, for April to June.  To do that, the more nominations, the better.  Please check your libraries, good reviews, what others in your life are reading, etc.  Then send all your suggestions to me (tforb@core.com) by Saturday, May 31.
