The Unitarian-Universalist Congregation of Petoskey is undertaking is the donation of books about LGBTQ+ issues and culture to the Petoskey District Library. The congregation hopes that having more resources available in the community will pave a path toward deeper understanding of what it means to be LGBTQ+ and will foster deeper compassion for the challenges that these neighbors of ours face. Our January – March 2020 Quarterly Giving will be dedicated to this project. Donations up to $200 will be matched by our congregation.

In addition to accepting donations to purchase books, UUCOP hopes that members of the LGBTQ+ community will put forward suggestions of books to consider for the library’s collection. Suggestions may be sent to uucop@icloud.com by March 23, 2020 .
